A Brief Background

Ellesmere and ERDA has been operating as a riding school and agistment centre since 2014 with the RDA lessons beginning in 2016. Our nationally qualified, experienced and fully insured coaches offer lessons on our quiet and educated school ponies or on your own horse. Clients of all abilities have the opportunity to learn not only riding skills but horsemanship and safety around horses, improve physical skills, be active, make new friends and develop social skills as well as experience the magic that horses bring to our every day lives

What's Happening this Term?

Term Time Lessons

Group, private and semi private lessons run during the week, after school and on Saturdays during school term, for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders.   Our Jump Club runs on Thursday evenings under lights with riders developing their technique and skills. Ellesmere accepts riders from age 5  and adults returning to riding or learning a new skill are very welcome.

Trail Rides in Beautiful Moruya State Forrest

Trail rides for experienced riders run on an as needed basis along miles of quiet fire trails in the state forest.  Rides last for between 2 and 4 hours and include bridge and water crossings, steep hills and descents and riders must be able to confidently trot and canter.  We recommend learning to ride in the arena for beginners.

School Holidays July 2019

School Holidays are always busy at Ellesmere with our holiday clinics being very popular with locals and visitors.  We run full  day schools and include activities such as mounted games, polocrosse, trail rides, bareback riding, jumping and gymkhana events where children can win ribbons, as well as our successful 'Ready Set Trot' program for primary school aged beginners..  Our overnight 'Summer Camp' which runs in January is very popular.
